Opening Night: From Piccadilly to Hollywood



An event celebrating the glamour and excitement of an opening night and the magic of stage and screen through song and theatre scenes


Don your glad rags and enjoy the thrill of an Opening Night for a show featuring comic theatre scenes and musical performances from celebrated musicals (“Chicago”, “Hamilton”, ”Cabaret" among others) and compositions by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Stephen Sondheim and Leonard Bernstein


Directed by John Ruescas and produced by Mariela Menghini

Saturday, 20th April: 5.00 pm & 7.30 pm
Sunday, 21st April: 5.00 pm & 7.30 pm

Duration of the show: 1 hour and 40 minutes (including a 10' intermission)

A pleasantly surprising afternoon
This was my first time attending a Madrid Players event. The cast and crew were welcoming, fun and innovative upon arrival and the show itself was a great mixture of songs, sketches and history of the musicals/plays being acted. A highly enjoyable way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Thanks to all !
